Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp warm water
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1 to 2 tsp sugar or sweetener optional
  • 1/4 cup cold milk optional
  • 1 cup ice

Coffee Mixture

  • 2 tsp instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp warm water
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1 to 2 tsp sugar or sweetener optional

To Serve

  • 1/4 cup cold milk optional
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions
 

  • Add the instant coffee and warm water to a small glass or measuring cup. Stir until the coffee is completely dissolved and no granules remain.
  • Stir in the sugar or preferred sweetener while the coffee mixture is still warm. Mix until fully incorporated.
  • Pour in the cold water and stir well to combine
  • Fill a serving glass with ice.
  • Pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
  • Add the cold milk, if using, and stir until combined.
  • Taste the iced coffee and adjust the strength, sweetness, or milk as needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For stronger iced coffee, add another 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of instant coffee.
  • For a creamier drink, replace some of the cold water with additional milk.
  • Dissolving the coffee in warm water first helps prevent undissolved granules.
  • Granulated sugar is easier to mix before the drink gets very cold. Liquid sweeteners can also be used.
  • Coffee ice cubes can be used instead of regular ice to reduce dilution.
